SMIL overlaying of images and video

Hi!

I tried overlaying a gif with transparency over a video using SMIL =
(edited raw in notepad). I got two possible results: 1 - the gif was not =
displayed at all, 2 - the gif was displayed but the transparent area was =
displayed as white.

Can anyone tell me if and how the RealPlayer supports transparency of =
gif images?
