Subject: Playing smi locally on MAC

I am trying to play a smil presentation locally. I have a local htm page
with a link to a local ram file that points to a smil file that is also
local. All of the elements of the presentation are in the same folder on my
local drive. I am having problems getting the file to run locally.
I am using
file://test.smi
in my ram to point to the smi file like the RealSystem G2 Production Guide
suggests on page 152. However, I get an error saying requested file not
found. It doesn't seem to be able to figure out the name of the file. It
is looking on my local drive for "c:/test/test.ramtest.smi" instead of just
looking for "c:/test/test.smi" Any ideas?

I have been able to point the htm page directly to the smi file, but there
is concern that some users may not have .smi associated with the realplayer,
thus opening it in a browser or some other program.

When I attempt to run the presentation locally on the mac, I have run into
two problems. When pointing directly to the smi file, the mac attempts to
open the presentation in Word. When I point to a .ram file, it opens up a
page in the browser with x's for missing images.

Is it possible to run a smi presentation locally on both the PC and the MAC?
If so, what syntax do I need to use in my .ram file?

Thanks!
