Heya Claudio, I am just about to do some research on FireWire myself. Do
these FireWire cards being described here work only for DV? I was under the
distinct impression that FireWire had multiple uses and assumed FireWire
cards would allows internal HDD connections etc etc...

Sorry to get off the subject of the group but...
Australia is just about to get Digital Televisions compatible with our new
HDTV scheme comming into place in the next 12 months or so. I was interested
to know if DVD players used or will be using FireWire to connect to Digital
TV's and hence computers and DV Camcorders etc etc... Would make for an
expensive but pretty picture!
