WAP currently only supports WML (Wireless Markup Language - it's
defined in XML), XMLC (compiled WML), WMLScript (cut down Javascript),
WMLSC (Compiled WMLS) and WBMP (Bitmap format).

The WTAPI interface is really only available to network operators
(mobile networks) as it interfaces into the mobile controllers.

The current version is WAP 1.1, v1.2 is due for ratification early
next year, which will have more features (mainly concerning security
and WLS (TLS equiv).

See www.wapforum.org for more details.
