Subject: RE: rmeditor pasting streams problem

As a follow up to this question, I am curious to know if there are any tools
available that can EDIT an existing RM file, beyond the limited capablities
of the command-line RMEditor. I know that Windows Media has the On-Demand
Producer program (basically a scaled-down version of Sonic Foundry's
StreamAnywhere software), and their ASF Indexer.

It would be so helpful to have a GUI for doing such things as adding events,
editing timelines, etc. It's such a shame that those tools exist for Windows
Media and not for G2 - (hint, hint, Real).

Subject: rmeditor pasting streams problem

I am attempting to cut out about 6 minutes of dead air from a media file.
So I use rmeditor to cut from 00:00 to 01:35 to a new file (call it A).
And do the same with rmeditor from 07:07 to 48:40 to a new file (call it
B).

Then attempt to use rmeditor with to input files trying to past A and B
together to yet a another new file. I get the error..

"Cannot paste files due to a missing stream. The files being pasted are
not in the smae format."

But they came from the same file. Why wouldn't it be in the same format?

Target audience was set to 28.8k and 56k modem users in SureStream
format.

We have successfuly pasted SureStream files together in the paste without
any problems.
