Subject: hardware device to record conference call

I wonder do I need any special hardware device to record conference call and
convert it to rm file.

1. We are using a 10$ device to hook up the phone jack to a recorder.
2. Then we play back the recorded message to the computer and convert it to
rm file.

However, the result is not good. It has a lot of noise. Is there any
hardware device which can remove some of the noise?

Thanks

TK
