Hi David,
Its possible to do what you want with Real. In fact, what you describe =
below is exactly what we are doing using RealServer.
What you have to do is look at SLTA (G2SLTA) technology of RealServer.
Use the Simulated Live Transfer Agent (G2SLTA) to broadcast a stored =
file as if it were live. Events broadcast with G2SLTA appear to be live; =
everyone sees the same part of the broadcast at the same time
Lookat chapter 7 of the Real Server documentation of the RealServer on =
how to do it.
Its quite simple (once you read the documentation). It automatically =
loops and plays back a 3-5 hr program.
Njoy!

Subject: Why can't I make Real Audio programming loop
I am a content producer of "simulated" Internet-only radio stations for =
broadcast stations' web sites (sometimes referred to as "niche casting" =
or "flanking format" channels). Each channel exists as a 3-5 hour =3D
program which is updated and reprogrammed regularly.
However, using the Real Audio server, listeners can only hear the =3D
program "from the top" as opposed to "punching in" on the program in =3D
progress much like they would a real radio station. Windows Media Player =
allows us to provide this service, but according to my Real Server =3D
provider, it's not possible with Real Audio.
In other words, our programming has no beginning or end - it needs to =
constantly loop. Does anyone have any tips or tricks as to how we can =
accomplish this in Real Audio? If not, we may be forced to continue =3D
provide our services to broadcast stations ONLY in the Windows Media =3D
format.
Please copy me on any response. =3D
