I seem to remember that Oracle 8i, with its Intermedia component, has a
RealServer plugin that allows the RealServer to stream data that's stored
in the
database. I have not used this capability, but I've been told about it by
people at Oracle. I believe it also allows for streaming through Oracle Video
Server.
