To be quite honest, I haven't used rmbatch.exe all that extensively, ...
though I have heard of folks having difficulty with earlier releases of that
program (be sure to get the latest update of RealProducer if you're
encountering problems of any kind.)

What I've been told repeatedly is that rmedit does not work properly with G2
encoded files (SureStream or otherwise) AT ALL. In fact, I've even heard
that some folks have irrepairably damaged perfectly good files when merely
attempting to change the file information (Author, title, copyright,
etc.) -- so be sure to use that program with caution, if at all. The popular
workaround (or so I hear) is to create an SMIL file that contains in and out
markers for the video, which seems like it might accomplish what you're
striving for.

Good luck, .. and for god's sake be careful!

Yvan,

Have you been able to batch encode a file that is surestreamed? What about
rmedit?
I've attempted to use rmedit on a surestreamed file to no avail. It would
be a nice
feature to use (I could cut out dead footage at the beginning and end of my
files)...

thanks...

Ibh
