From: Len Feldman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: What kind of portable audio acquisition equipment... I just came across a new portable recorder that looks like it'll be incredible for field audio acquisition, from Digigram and Nagra, called the RCX 220. The approximate weight is less than a pound (450 grams) and the size is 7.4" x 3.15" x 1.1", with balanced audio inputs, the ability to record more than three hours of 128 Kbps MPEG audio on a single flash RAM PC Card, and a USB interface. Given Digigram & Nagra's pricing, the RCX 220 is likely to be very expensive, but for the right applications, it may well be worth it. The specs and a picture are at: http://www.digigram.com/products/newprod.html and I think that Digigram is aiming at a release around the time of NAB in April, 2000.
