From: "Yvan Gagnon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: capturing at target frame size Someone suggested to me a while back that I would get better results when encoding to realvideo format if I'd initially capture my video at the target frame size. Well I tried modifyng my Osprey 100 driver settings so that I could capture at 176x132 (which is my target frame size) for the first time yesterday (as opposed to my normally capturing at 320x240) -- and I couldn't help but notice that the resulting video looked distorted, almost like an image that has the wrong size tags specified. I was capturing from mini DV format using svideo and the vidcap utility that comes with the Osprey card. Anyone here know why this would be happening? Is it possible that I need to be capturing my video at 640x480 in order to get the best possible quality, .. and that I've been getting some loss of quality when capturing at 320x240 that's been too subtle to notice? thanks, -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ******************************************************* The RealForum is an email discussion group focused on using RealNetworks products.
