Subject: Creating PlugIns to be used in SMIL

  Hi,

I am new to Real and having trouble finding my way thru the information maze
that's being offered in Real's web site.
Maybe one of you can help.

We want to use SMIL and Real to play local multimedia presentations. We know
how to do that.
We now wish to support video playback on our own hardware. I understand that
a plug-in has to be developed. No problem: my C++ is as good as any's. But
which kind of plug-in? where should I put it? how do I let RealPlayer know
that my plug-in support the .XXX format?

Again - Can anyone help?
Thanks and a Happy New Decade-

Michael
