Yes..

1.  You can easily and effectively crop the file to lose bad edging
2.  You can adjust contrast/hue and others to better tweak the final look
3.  As a batch encoder, it is more effective (unless you get tricky with
RPP)
4.  You can also encode to other formats in the same batch (jpeg stills,
WMP, QT)

The only downside I can see is can they stay up to date with the latest
codecs for the best results.. I was a little concerned with their WMP
offerings in this dept, but now they offer a free upgrade.
