Subject: Frames and Multiple Controls
I have a page with two frames. One frame has an embedded "image window" tied
to a region of a SMIL presentation designated for slides. That same SMIL
presentation also has a region designated for text.
In the second frame I have an embedded "imagewindow" who's SRC is a dummy
RPM. This embed tag though has a CONSOLE of "_master" and a Region tag which
points it to the Text region of the SMIL presentation in the other frame. I
also have embedded Controls with dummy RPMS and CONSOLES of "_master" in the
second frame.
This works fine. The top frames presentation starts and shows the slides,
the bottom frames image window shows the text and the controls perform their
function. Great.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM: I want to periodically replace the frame with the
controls and text with a straight HTML page, AND allow the top frames
presentation to continue uniterrupted. When an embedded URL changes the
address of the bottom frame however, the presentation halts. I even tried
changing console names so the controls and text window wern't linked to the
presentation and it still halts when the bottom frame is unloaded.
How can I get around this?
