From: "Truong, Ton H" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: What do I need to do to make Real Player load my plug-in I am a newbie and I am trying to write a File Format Plugin and a File Renderer plugin. I compile the 2 Example File Format and Render plug in in the SDK, and copy the 2 dll's into the directory c:\program files\Real\RealPlayer and c:\program files\common files\real\plugins which is where the other plugins are. I then use Real Player (G2) to load the test data file. Real Player immediately detected missing plug-in, and looked at the Real Network URL (ignoring the fact that the plugin are already in the local files.) I have tried to copy the dll's into the directory c:\program files\Real\RealPlayer\PlugIns but that does not make any difference. I went thru old posts, and it looks like Craig Shultz ([EMAIL PROTECTED] ) and Bernie Roehl ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) had the same questions I now have. I read the reply from Real Network, but realize that that is exactly what I did. The Real Server has no problem loading the 2 dlls and recognized them as plug-ins. The player just ignores them.
