Subject: Installing G2 for JMF

I have been having trouble installing G2 for JMF
using the ugrade menu in Real Player 7. When
I run a Java applet inside Netscape Navigator
which plays back content
from a G2 server there is a problem loading
the library rjjn3260.dll. This is a little
puzzling since the applet works fine when I use
an old RealPlayer G2 installer which includes
G2 for JMF.

I have checked the installation to make sure:
i) That the Netscape classes folder contains jmf.jar
    and rjmf.jar
ii) That the jmf.properties file contains the
    com.real prefix
iii) That the Netscape bin folder contains
     rjjn3260.dll.
iv) That all requested privileges for linking to
dynamic link libraries are granted at run time.
v) I've tried running the applet in Netscape 4.5
and 4.7, Windows 95, Windows NT 4.4 with the
    same problem in all cases.

I noticed some messages in the archive from around
May 1999 which reported a similar problem but did
not find any solution. I also saw some discussion
that future versions of G2 for JMF would do away
with the present 2 stage install (JMF, then G2 for
JMF). Any help and suggestions regarding this
matter will be helpful. (I cannot redistribute the
old G2 installer so I currently have
no way of letting other people use the Java applet.)
