From: "Rob Hoch" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Controlling CallBack Methods via JavaScript I would like to have several clips played sequentially in one .smi file on an embedded player. Between each clip I may want to take control of the process, (for example, pausing the start of the next clip to wait for user interaction), before the next clip starts. For simplicity sake I am only worrying about output to IE 5 (& up) browsers. I am also using JavaScript for browser scripting. After reviewing the "Embedded Real Player Extended Functionality Guide" I think I can accomplish this using the various CallBack Methods, but the examples focus on Netscape and JavaScript vs. IE and VBScript. The trick, as I see it, is that the browser will have to be smart enough to know when a clip ends and run some JavaScript (or VBScript) when that happens. Here are my questions: 1) Is my approach possible? 2) Assuming my approach is possible, can I use JavaScript to reference the callback methods? (or do I need to use VBScript?) 3) Do I need to include some sort of Java applet to accomplish this? 4) Are there any examples of this type of interactivity? TIA, Robert E.
