From: "Yvan Gagnon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: encoding realvidoe using quicktime 4.0 files? One of the nice things about Quicktime format is that you can overcome the 2gb file size limitation on the Wintel platform. The movies look and sound great, and give you the flexibility to be able to export longer length videos, which can be very convenient sometimes, as I'm sure most of you know. However, .. my understanding is that RealProducer Plus 7.0 does NOT accept Quicktime 4.0 files as an input source. ( I've tried and was unsuccessful with it. ) When I contacted the support department at RealNetworks and inquired about this, I was told that RealProducer on the Wintel platform only accepts Quicktime files that are encoded in 2.0 format or lower. Apparently, though, the Mac verson of RealProducer can recognize and encode Quicktime 4.0 files. ) 2 questions: 1) Any idea as to when -- or if -- RealNetworks plans on adding Quicktime 4.0 support (as an input file format) to RealProducer? 2) Is there any way to losslessly convert a Quicktime 4.0 file into 2.0 format so that its compatible with RealProducer 7.0? If so, how? Thanks, -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ******************************************************* The RealForum is an email discussion group focused on using RealNetworks products.
