Using RealNetworks Backchannel multicast methods you would have a TCP
connecton in the netstat reports for every client connection.

Using Scalable multicast (only licensed on Enterprise servers) then you
would not get any entries in the netstat report since the RealPlayer
clients do not every make a connection to the server itself (except of
course to get the session description file (.sdp)). The only way
reporting is possible with the RealNetworks Scalable Multicasting method
is by collecting usage reports after the fact or possibly going to all
your routers and running IGMP reports on the routers themselves. You
can also have reports on how many people joined by counting requests for
the. sdp file though you won't know if they have since dropped off.

cheers!
