real player runs its output in overlay mode by default.. most capture
applications can't deal with that. go to view|preferences on the performance
tab and uncheck "Use optimized video display" and it should stop using
overlay. expect the quality to not be as good.

I have been using TechSmith screen capture software in an attempt to make
an avi out of what I see in the player. It captures graphics and text just
fine but will not capture the rm. I realize it is difficult to sync the 2
but ....has anyone done this who can help? I would like to eventually
output the smil to videotape.
