Subject: Java RealProducer SDK NOW AVAIALBLE!!

I've mentioned this before, but now I'm actually giving it out. The Java
version of the RealProducer SDK for Windows 95/98/NT.

You can find it on my FTP server at:
216.207.36.231
Anonymous login
folder: /pub/JavaRealProducer

All of the source code is there, and all of the Javadoc documentation (I'm
so nice). It's open source, free to use (as long as you acknowledge the
creator, me). There's a more detailed explanation in the readme.txt file on
my server, but here's a quick lowdown on what this thing is:

"Java RealProducer SDK" - This is a Java-based interface to the
RealProducer SDK.
The RealProducer SDK currently is only available in C++. This is a Java
language
interface that uses JNI (Java Native Interface) to work directly with the
RealProducer SDK. This is based on the Windows 95/98/NT version. This
product allows Java programmers
using Windows 95/98/NT to write custom applications using the RealNetworks
encoding solution. Without this product, those developers can only write
those applications
in C++. Java is now the emerging language in the computer science world and
opening
this door to developers means a greater number will be able to use the
RealNetworks
encoding solution as well as use the simpler Java interfaces in comparison
to the complex pseudo-COM C++ interfaces.

In a nutshell, this allows you to do RealMedia encoding on the Windows
95/98/NT platform from a Java application, so you don't need to write any of
that horrific COM code in C++. (because I already did it for you).

Cheers, and happy coding!
