AUSTIN, Texas, USA (April 2, 2007) — REAL Software, provider of
REALbasic, cross-platform that really works, announced that REALbasic
2007 Release 2 is shipping today. In addition to the 18 new features
and over 100 bug fixes that Release 2 provides, REALbasic 2007
Release 2 adds an incremental compiler and offers significant
improvements to the debugger. REALbasic 2007 Release 2 was built and
developed with REALbasic 2007.

REALbasic 2007 Release 2 includes the following new features:

Incremental Compilation: The REALbasic compiler now compiles only the
parts of the project that have changed since the last compile. This
results in faster compilation and improved developer productivity.
With a larger project, compilation is often twice as fast.
Code Folding: REALbasic now supports collapsing and expanding blocks
of code in the code editor. This makes code easier to debug and
maintain.
Debugger Improvements: The REALbasic debugger has been improved in
several ways. The debugger now shows the values of more objects,
including RecordSets, ListBoxes, PopupMenus, and ComboBoxes, while
debugging. The debugger also now allows more application properties
and variables to be changed while debugging.
RTF Support: The EditField now supports saving and loading styled
text content in the RTF format.
REAL Software continues to deliver on its promise of a 90-day rapid
release model to offer new technologies to users as they become
available.
