So are you saying it is never going to work with SQLite on a server? Is this a 
performance issue then? 

My server (which is only being used for the realXtend application) is more 
powerfull than my portable where the same installation (same database SQLlite) 
runs with no problems.

If i have to use a "proper" database i presume i can use MSSQL which is already 
on my server?

I did the same, because I can't upload meshes with a size bigger than
1'2-1'3Mb, and the problem was resolved using MySQL. it's necessary to make
a backup of the local database and restore it in the server, of course.
