*Good evening*

We made a new release candidate for the Taiga 0.0.2 release today. We would
very much like testing help to determine if there is something key missing
from the server set.

*New functionality in Taiga 0.0.2 RC3*
*
*
- Now totally independent in database migrations. CableBeach servers can
migrate the database tables that it uses. OpenSim and OpenSim.Grid does
their own part. Previously you had to run stock opensim grid servers to
migrate database. Note: atm only mysql is supported.
- CableBeach Invetory/AssetsServer now stores opensim default assets (plus
some realXtend specific meshes, particles and materials) to assets table.
Also creates inventory folder for shared "OpenSim Library" and adds all the
default assets as inventory items to it.
- All login methods from realXtend Naali and realXtend 0.42 client are
supported. This means reX authentication login (from both naali and 0.42),
opensim account login (from both naali and 0.42) and OpenID accont login
(from naali, must have trunk version. will be supported in naali 0.0.2
release).
- Mesh support: Naali already does mesh uploads via console but there is no
content creation user interface yet. You can upload meshes etc. and create
what you like in realXtend 0.42 viewer and it should show similarly in Naali
in world.

*Testing help and feedback that you might help us out with*
*
*
- Does "OpenSim Library"s default assets show in LL based viewers? If not
what might cause this? Naali gets it in login response and parses it
correctly but the interaction in UI is unfinished. As I don't have previous
experience in OpenSim Library I'm a bit confused what LL viewers expect to
get in the response. I think that i'm sending it correctly in the login
response but maybe LL based viewers parse of it fails for not having some
params or something else causes it not to show in viewer
after successful login.
- Can you create content in 0.42 that would cause major errors in the Taiga
servers? Can it handle big uploads? (remember in this step that upload
limits may be enforced by mysql itself, to fix this check you mysql
installations my.ini and modify max_allowed_packet to a bigger number
if necessary)
- Load testing. Is there a limit of logged in users? Whats the performance
with x amount of users in?

*How to get and install/configure*

*As some may have noticed our webservices are down at the moment, we are
trying to fix it asap. In the meanwhile I'm hosting this release zip file in
a different location. You can grab it from
http://tols17.oulu.fi/~jnauha/Ohjelmointi/realxtend/taiga/realXtend_Taiga_0.0.2-RC3.zip
 *

*The setting up should be pretty easy with modest amount of knowledge in
mysql. Please start by follow the Readme.txt to the letter from start to
finish. If you still have problems reply here so I can help. I will gladly
get feedback for the readme file and how accurate it is so I can update its
content too.*
