Hello There,

A while ago I had metioned(in several topics) about significant frame
rate losses possibly due to rubbish data accrued within the server.
This problem does not occur if you switch to second life viewer mode
with shift + r.

I have been editting a two region server for like 2 months now. And
noticed considerable fps losses over time. Just recently I've checked
two of my server backups with more or less the same data (little
additions were done for the latter one) and notice that although they
have a very slight difference the latter one achieves at least 10-15
less fps during rendering. So I've tried to take a diff of the
databases for both of this servers and tried to remove some of the
additions to the latter one by manually deleting these from the
databases.

Boom!...here is what I have found out. Deleting the entire
RexAssetData within RexObjects database significantly increases fps.
Deletion of 6 rows of data in this table suddenly made my 5-7 fps rate
60-80. Unbelivable is it not?

Anyway I suppose this table holds media_url and refresh_rates for rex
textures. So I suppose the application is trying to connect and
refresh the sites relevant with these media urls even if they are not
in the scene(no references) or even if there are no avatars close to
the objects having the relevant rex textures.

I have seen people complaining about RealXTend Ogre Renderer achieving
much less than Second Life Viewer renderer(shift + r) and this may
indeed be the actual reason. Try not adding any media urls to your
textures and I suppose you ll have exactly the same or even better
rates than SL OpenGL renderer with much better rendering quality.

Anyway thanks to you all again for this great project....

Have fun,

Ateş Akaydın
