HI

I have investigated your situation a bit and from what I have seen ,
your modem splits the internet Pipe into 4 or more pipes . So you are
going to have to determine if your Specific Modem supports loopback (
probably will have to contact support for that modem to do that or locate
specific information resources ) . Even if it does support loopback ,
that doesnt mean that it will easily support opensim loopback without
having issues such as not being able to TP or the avie wont move . I had
this situation and when I did get it fixed , the avie wouldnt move anyways
and i had to try to figure that out that as well but it was all the same
issue . I do make a note that my Router was "supposed" to work in an
opensim server loop back networked environment . It was even documented ,
where as i do not see yours as being documented , and I still had these same
problems .

You have an interesting issue ( from the information I have seen ) in
that your pipe splits into more pipes right at the service . I was speaking
of having one pipe split into Four different pipes with a seperate router
, not the modem itself .

The only way I personally fixed this issue , is that I used a switch not
a router ( not the modem type router the other type ) . So I had one
pipe coming from the internet into a basic switch, which split the signal
into several pipes . You might be able to fix this issue by not splitting
the signal at the Modem level . By using one pipe from the Modem to a
switch . Cant gaurantee that though .

This is a somewhat Erudite issue so I am skeptical that an exact solution
has been documented with your specific equipment in the entire opensim
compatible community . Therefore , you are probably going to have to
troubleshoot DNS resolution issues within your network independently with
your specific equipment and then test if it is possible in opensim/realxtend
. You could also check over at the OpenSim forum as this is an open sim
specific problem . Realxtend has a specialised community , so its smaller
than the entire community , It is possible that some one in the greater
community has seen a solution or knows that it is a failed boondoggle , so
it is probably prudent to contact them as well .

It is possible that someone with greater knowledge may suggest more
answers for you or even a better solution . I will be interested to see
this answer and will be looking to see if that person actually used your
specific setup and personally saw it work .

Please understand that this is my personal experiance on the matter . For
me personally , I dealt with this problem for too many days and in the end
it was easily fixed with a hardware solution . i am being honest with you
on what I have seen and I do make a note that my current RealXtend
Platform has Exemplary performance Please dont get put off by this ,
