but least in our little company we hope that other's will do it (so that we
can just come and run our games there for great profit .. or fun at least :)
Maybe we should start a RealXtend Commons Grid . A High Perfomance
computer such as we have in place , is essential in my opinion to perform
proper scalability tests of the Rex platform . We are willing to provide
compute and operational assets , to help in the formation of such a grid
. The only caveat we have , is that a mechanism ( donations or whatever )
should eventually be put in place to provide for the future of the grid .
A comparitive advantage of the placement of the grid is that it is located
at the internet core and there are a few big backbones around here. We
would also seek people that care about the grid and give back to the project
. IF people are getting Free land , we dont want to Foster a community of
Free Loaders , but rather we want people that seek to give back to our grid
in some way , for what the grid gives them . By doing this , we will
eliminate the money curroption that lies at the root of virtual worlds .
We will have people that care , want to have a fun life and are generally
better community people than other worlds and build the grid together .
I feel that the ability to run scalability and operability tests on a
proper Taiga platform is essential . So we feel that the community as a
whole could benefit by the information being opened up by the project . The
respect gained by creating a Rex commons could bring us more developers to
the project and further serve to strengthen our community . Our
collective vision would move from the theoretical and more into the
practical . Part of the Focus of the grid needs to be on The Economics and
Development of Content Creation in Taiga ... By doing this , we can create
a creative hub of activity in Rex , where content creators and developers
seek a better way of living there Virtual Lives. By working collectively we
can also properly show the capabilties of Realxtend by providing a large
immersive world for them to marvel at and enjoy . This will draw creative
energy and interest to Rex as well .
So by doing these things , we could strengthen the community on many
fronts , Ranging from Operations Management and Platform Testing all the
way to Content creation , Community and cultural building and mass
entertainment . We need to organise and get people involved in our way of
virtual life . Here is a chance for us to plant the Flag and do so . IF
we do these things we can provide a much better life and future for all
involved
Our group does not seek to control the entire management structure of the
grid and thus the Vision of the project . Rather , we seek to foster the
Vision that is Rex in a proper way . To that end we would eventually set
up a governing body for the grid . One of the focuses of this mission is to
create a collective place that showcases realxtend . Right now there are
lots of small grids that are out there , and largely unknown . A collective
grid will foster the creative and economic energies of our community as a
whole and give it a better place to grow . Which means a better chance of
being relavent 10 years from now .
