No. I got shapes fine, and a few flat-coloured objects. Oh, I got a texture on my terrain by over-riding the sample height-based multi texture script with one that just did a single texture for the whole. No joy applying what I learned of materials there to a mesh, though (had a mesh hill with a cave in it I put on the planar terrain). The avatar test gave a texture on the avatar and on the fish (I think - it was a prety shark-coloured fish anyway). At one point, I got (iirc the Win7 install at work) connected to a sample world I now can't find - had boats and some deer wandering about - the moving animal scripts worked fine. It was almost all in white and grey - a few coloured bits of the boats. Quite surreal :-). That was on a Media-Laptop with a reasonably beefy Radeon chip in it. I have a Nvidia GTX296 in my home box. In my own worlds, I got stuck working out how to get a custom sky-texture - the built-in worked fine, but I could only get yellow/black stripes whenever I tried to set my own sky texture. (That is probably one better for irc than a board discussion - just mentioning it). I am hoping that starting fresh with the prototype 2.0 might be easier (for certain definitions of 'easier' :-D ). Certainly if I could get something that looked like http://80.75.107.153/Tundra2/SkyXHydrax.png (less the falling boxes physics test), I would be rather pleased! :-) The current poster-world for RealXtend (hi-tek floaty islands) looks prety amazing too - kudos to the creators!
