  I haven't used Ajax myself, but I've had to write a lot of javascript.
  Ick!

  *But*, for Ajax, at the most, the user has to enable javascript,
  whereas with rebol as a plugin (as with all plugins) must be
  downloaded and installed and as with other plugins, some will balk.

  Now for firefox on Linux, installing a plugin is done in seconds and
  all one has to do is restart the browser. Could it be done as easily
  on windows with IE or netscape?

  Having said that, next we address the concerns about rebol being
  "obscure":

  If the rebol plugin interface addresses the DOM directly, some of that
  "prejudice" could be overcome because the DOM itself is
  well-documented.

  Furthermore if the the rebol interface is itself a DSL, then a
  non-rebol programmer familiar with the DOM and javascript could be
  looking at something that is familiar in both sytax and logic and
  could be much easier to code.

  cheers
