Why persons cannot communicate and "get along" is due to persons lacking basic knowing of their speaking language.
Words label concepts that have precise meaning. It's filthy, lying, tricksters who take persons down the wrong path of life using a "slippery slope" technique to distort and lie. Of the English language, all ~ity words have but two distinct mean 1) "those persons who ..." 2) "those persons that ..." For example, "humanity" means and ONLY means "those persons who are humanists -- follow the doctrine of humanism" "christianity" means and ONLY means "those persons who are christian -- follow the Way -- teaching of Christ and disciples like Paul" In other words, all ~ity words mean "a people". Christianity is a people NOT a religion. Humanity is a people. Other clues to words of English are these: ~tion = process ~ing = a technique It's incorrect always and everywhere to say "a function", but always correct to say "a functional HAS function" "a functional GENERATES function" It's incorrect always and everywhere to pluralize ~tion words and ~ing words. Why? because each is a singular concept. The REBOL mailing list has a group of persons, The Insularity. Who are The Insularity? The Insularity are "those persons who have are narrowly restricted in outlook, scope and attitude toward foreigners". What do we mean by "foreigners"? Any person who is new to the REBOL mailing list and who has a unique perspective on REBOL, functioning, etc. Instead of comments like, "Wow, I never thought of looking at REBOL in this manner. Your perspective is unique. How does it help you write better REBOL script?" "Wow, I've always thought of that aspect of REBOL to be [---insert here--], but comprehending your perspective, I see things differently. How does it help you write better REBOL script?" The Insularity makes comments like, "You're wrong." "That's not how REBOL works." "I trust the gurus." REBOL is a great product. No wonder so few use it. With the exception of Mr. Sassenrath, the persons connected with REBOL reveal themselves to be The Insularity. Life's about leverage. If you want to improve your living, open your mind. Others might help you untangle the mess that's inside your head.
