I have been reading this list for several years now (and used to help newbies a lot more, when I had more time). All types of people have come and gone, talented, gruff, funny, smart, slow, academics, doers, opportunists, dreamers, newbies, "gurus", some people use rebol to change the world, others simply to have fun. but there is one thing people here have always shared: cooperation and a sense of camaraderie. basically a good attitude towards others. Pierre (or is it Pier? http://christian-action.blogspot.com/ ), you are very academic in your approach, and do challenge everything, and that IS a sign of wisdom. You obviously do not take things for granted, and seem (AFAICT by this limited view I can have of you) to genuinely want to make things better. And for that I applaud you. But there is one thing in this world which may negate any kind of quality and that is attitude: "What is with The Insularity with this list? Why is it 100% difficult for any person deemed "a regular" or a "guru" just to stick with exchanging thinking about REBOL." WE don't. but YOU certainly do. YOU keep poking at everybody, and though I have nothing to do in those discussions I feel bad if I had been any of the others you wrongly berate. I have met many of them, some have doctorates and are highly regarded professors, others are actually at REBOL's employ, meaning they actually KNOW, not just deduce, like you do. Frankly I DON'T CARE that there are differing possibilities in the INTERPRETATION of what is going on within REBOL's interpreter. I objectively think its the FIRST time since I am on this list that someone so strongly comes across as being a total jerk. Although a smart one. Sorry for saying what I think, many others have tried to tell you politely that they thought your attitude is quite annoying (note that I did not use the word "us" or "we", I do not speak for the others, I speak for myself, I am not part of a cult, I just USE REBOL, its not a religion for me). Not only the high-ups but many other people can't stand your attitude, pointing fingers, accusing, berating, generally barking like a little dog trying to prove he can take on a big one. You are the only one starting this, and yes some of us are insulted not by what points you bring up, but in how you treat our intellects and our knowledge. Stop telling everyone they are stupid. did you notice that when you point a finger, three point backwards to you? Do you think you are a righteous person who can come here and tell everyone here how to act and think? come on, get laid, drink a beer, go see a baseball match, I don't know what makes you tick, but do it and stop being on our backs. Right now, this whole mailing list is just tired of you... so please... stop before you get cut off. I don't recall it ever being done before... but I am sick of your attitude. And I know I am not alone, cause I'm a very tolerant person, and if I've had enough, I'm surely not the only one. And although I know you are going to respond to me with righteous rhetoric... before you waste time calling me names, and saying I am an evil inconsiderate cultist or whatever... ask yourself this.
