Hi Allessandro, Yes - Hardware Abstraction Layer.
ExecSG is the kernel of the OS. I am not sure of its legal status (who ac= tually owns the code) as some very gifted contractors have been involved.= REBOL could be compiled for OS4 at the moement, but the product is in a l= ittle legal mess at the moment and HW is a problem. I am hoping that after the legal mess, then it will be ported to the PS3,= there is interest in this but no promises (more is the pity). It occurred to me that ExecSG may be an ideal Wildman candidate (it is ve= ry small, fast and I believe very stable). Wildman has me intrigued because a script based application environment w= ithout all the other clutter strikes me as a very good way to go, and I a= m liking REBOL more and more for this ambition. The Friedman borthers (Thomas and Hans-Joerg) may be at the Commodore Ami= ga simposium at Empoli (Fi). If they do turn up it would worth having a w= ord with them. More: (I will read info in the link you posted) but can you get me more i= nfo about ExecSG's HAL (I imagine it it Hardware Abstraction Layer)? Do you think such piece can will allow Rebol (most recent version) run on= Amiga? -- To unsubscribe from the list, just send an email to lists at rebol.com with unsubscribe as the subject.
