At last, the electronic pre-release of Chapter 6 of the translation of
Olivier Auverlot's "Rebol - Guide du Programmer"
(http://www.rebol.com/article/0324.html
) is now available at ( http://www.lulu.com/content/4426599 ) for EUR
2.99.

This chapter starts with a short overview of how to configure and
manage Rebol/View desktops to provide a "virtual office". It moves
quickly into serious programming topics in a Unix environment covering
console data display, handling keystrokes, command line arguments,
file access rights, shell access, pipes, sockets, Unix signals and
dynamic library calls. A thorough introduction to RebDB rounds out the
chapter.

The translation of chapter seven, the final chapter, is almost
complete and should be pre-released within a couple of weeks. Finally,
I hope that the completely translated book will be published in
another three to four weeks. At that time, the pre-releases will be
removed from lulu.com.

The chapters that have previously been released are:

Chapter 1 - Discover Rebol in an Hour ( http://www.lulu.com/content/2092020
  )
Chapter 2 - The Rebol Language ( http://www.lulu.com/content/2160570 )
Chapter 3 - GUI, graphics and sound ( http://www.lulu.com/content/2175653
  )
Chapter 4 - Networking and the Internet ( http://www.lulu.com/content/2160633
  )
Chapter 5 - Rebol for Pros ( http://www.lulu.com/content/2845102 )
