Over the past year, I've made a wide variety of additions and =20 improvements to the tutorial at http://musiclessonz.com/rebol.html =20 (now mirrored at http://re-bol.com ). This text is NOT the original =20 absolute beginner tutorial at =20 http://musiclessonz.com/rebol_tutorial.html , but a much more evolved =20 text with far greater depth. The new tutorial is approximately 400 =20 pages of really densely packed text. It includes more than 50 =20 complete applications (many examples are available as downloadable =20 Windows executables at http://musiclessonz.com/rebol_tutorial/examples =20 (mirrored at http://re-bol.com/examples) - that directory also =20 contains screen shots and script files of each example). The new =20 tutorial covers everything in the beginner tutorial, plus an enormous =20 amount of new material. It's written in a much more concise style, =20 which should be quick for experienced developers to digest, but it's =20 still completely accessible to absolute beginners. Most of the =20 commonly troublesome issues experienced by new users are covered, =20 hopefully eliminating any real barriers to using REBOL productively. =20 Many links to other online documentation resources are provided to =20 fully learn all essential topics, but no third party reference =20 materials are required to understand any example in the text, even for =20 people who've never written a line of code. I've done my best to =20 provide a complete introduction to using REBOL, which I hope will =20 encourage and enable more new users of all levels to join our =20 community. ** Please link to it if you have a moment **. Thank you!
PS - suggestions for improving the text are always welcome. As REBOL3 =20 matures, I'll add similar tutorials for it :) -- To unsubscribe from the list, just send an email to lists at rebol.com with unsubscribe as the subject.
