Potz, with out knowing more specifics, it is hard to answer your question
satisfactorily. Allen Kamp wrote a nice /View program that demonstrates
something similar to what you are describing. Check out:

If that is similar enough, let me (us) know how you would like it modified,
and it may be easier to answer.
