Hi Alan,

Not quite.  When you connect, a status message appears in
the bottom right pane to say that you are connected, but
then gets overwritten by any other status message.  

If you are local, the local message stays present in the
bottom left pane.

But then if are connected, and drop to the desktop, then you
also get disconnected, and the local message does not
reappear.
