Have I missed something here? Isn't:

     msg/content: replace/all msg/content CRLF newline

the same as:

     replace/all msg/content CRLF newline


On a side note, I find the first form useful to create copies of file names
but with a different extension, as in:

     dat-file: replace copy jpg-file %.jpg %.dat
