I forgot to say:

    Unicode is left to the user as an exercise :-)

I wrote the code to see how bnf is near to the parse grammar. I must say that
has been very easy to convert the bnf grammar in the parse grammar. And the
result is also readable. I cannot say the same for my own regex rules.
