You are thinking bigger than I am -- and there is a place for both projects. I'm thinking more of a sort of YellowPages type overview. A sort of roadmap so seekers can get a feel for who does what, and where is a good place to look for more quality information. A proper directory and resource center -- your idea, if I read it right -- would be an excellent place for co-ordinating all sorts of more in-depth information and resources, Let's do both!
