someone has reported that netscape's ftp handling has/had more than 60 different internal modes to be uniform accross all ftp servers. ftp seems to have a lot of variations, even in the W3c RFCs, due to the lenght of time it took to get ftp to maturity. just the listing of a directory's contents seems to be a major headache. searching this mailing list, will most propably reveal MANY such discussions (2 or 3 I can recall myself). in any case, do get the latest ftp patch compiled by romano: http://www.rebol.net/cgi-bin/projects/track.r?id=149&; -MAx -- To unsubscribe from this list, just send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe as the subject.
