This is a good topic; it's making us think.
Context will be important here, WRT how things should behave. The
common case, where we're writing code that uses refinements, should
probably throw an error if you specify two conflicting options; it's
likely a coding mistake that subjects you to the logic embedded in the
function WRT precedence.
