Hi,
We are into a process of optimalizing our application, which seems to
use too much memory for out old PC's.
We have written a profiling tool, which gives us infos about the
functions and memory use. This last is based on the function 'stats.
>> ? stats
USAGE:
STATS /pools /types /series /frames /recycle
DESCRIPTION:
System statistics. Default is to return total memory used.
STATS is a native value.
REFINEMENTS:
/pools -- Returns: width units free-units units-per-alloc segments
mem-in-use
/types -- Returns: Datatype count
/series -- Returns: total blocks strings other avail free
expansions
/frames -- Returns: total used unused free values-total
/recycle -- Returns: count series-total series-last frames-total
frames-last ballast
There's a lot of info available here. But I cannot interpret it.
Can anybody help me with understanding the meaning of all this
informations ? And in which unit is the "total memory used" expressed ?
In Kb ?
Thanks to everybody !
