Sticky Buns

Sweet Roll Dough
1/4 cup warm water
1 Tbsp yeast
3/4 cup warm milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 cup shortening
3 1/2 cups flour

Dissolve yeast in water. Mix in other ingredients. Knead about 5 minutes.
Place in greased bowl, turning dough so all sides are greased. Cover with a
damp towel and let raise until double. Punch down and let raise again. Roll
dough into 15 by 9 inch oblong.

Spread with:
2 Tbsp soft butter.
Sprinkle with:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Roll up tightly, beginning at wide side. Seal well by pinching edges of roll
together. Stretch roll slightly to even. Cut roll into 1 inch slices. Place
a little apart in a 13 by 9 inch pan coated with:
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecan halves

Cover and let raise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 375' F for 25-30 minutes.
Immediately turn upside down on large tray. Let pan stay over rolls a minute
so glaze runs down over them.
