Alabama, Jones & Haggard Among New
Releases

Tuesday (Oct. 24) from legends
and newcomers alike. Alabama's Songs of Inspiration (RCA) is their first new album in five years. George Jones and Merle Haggard cover each other's classics on Kickin' Out the Footlights ... Again (Bandit). Montgomery's Gentry's Some People Change (Columbia) features the hit title track. Taylor Swift's self-titled debut (Big Machine) includes her first single, "Tim McGraw." In addition, a remastered and expanded version of Lucinda Williams' 1998 Grammy-winning Car Wheels on a Gravel Road (Lost Highway) includes previously-unreleased tracks and a second disc with a full concert performance. tour beginning in March.
She'll perform in Denmark on March 7, with additional stops scheduled in Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, England, Scotland and Ireland. She's also scheduled for a handful of casino dates in November in Connecticut, New York and Ontario. In addition, she'll participate in Thursday's (Oct. 26) taping of CMT Giants: Reba in Hollywood. Tue. October 24.2006 6:38 PM EDT Singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver married Wanda
Lynn Canady, his most
recent ex-wife, for the second time on Oct. 13 in Las Vegas. (Shaver married his late ex-wife Brenda three times.) ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons presided over the ceremony. Shortly after the wedding, Shaver cracked a vertebra while "Indian wrestling" with a friend but is expected to recover fully. He was inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame in August. Hearing Set in Sara Evans' Divorce Case
Mon. October 23.2006 7:29 PM EDT A judge is expected to rule on several initial
motions filed in Sara Evans'
divorce case following a court hearing this week in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tenn. The motions will be heard Thursday morning (Oct. 26) in Williamson County Chancery Court. Among them is husband Craig Schelske's request to dissolve a restraining order which had been issued against him after Evans filed for divorce on Oct. 12. Additionally, Evans' attorneys reportedly filed additional motions Monday (Oct. 23), among them a gag order to prevent Evans, Schelske and their attorneys from discussing the divorce case with the media.
