Hi, Delma,

Sties are indeed very painful; I think they are the equivalent of boils. I
remember as a kid when I had one, Mom mixed hot water with boric acid, and
dipped cotton balls in it, and made like a little compress, and laid it on
the sty, and we did it several times throughout the day. I cannot recall if
it got better, or if I ended up going to the doctor, but as many home
remedies as Mom knew, I am going to say this method helped, and hope it also
benefits you.
