Frozen Cranberry Banana Salad

1 20 ounce can pineapple tidbits
5 firm bananas halved and  sliced
1 16 ounce can cranberry sauce
1/2 cup sugar
12 ounces cool whip
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Drain pineapple reserving juice. Add bananas to the reserved juice. Combine
the cranberries and sugar in a medium bowl. Remove the bananas from the
juice and add to the  cranberry mixture. Stir in the pineapple. Add the nuts
and cool whip.  Pour in to a 9 by 13 inch pan. Freeze until firm.
