Oh my, that's pretty horrible.
I hope you're okay now.
I had an accident once with some glass cider bottles.
Me and jack had brought a few bottles of cider once when he came to stay, some were in the kitchen fridtge, and some on the floor in a box.
we decided to try and put the rest in the fridge, so picked the bottles up. jack passed some to me, or the other way round, we didn't get each other properly hence the glass, and the cider, smashing and spilling all over the floor.
Jack tried to pick some up, but i was so scared he'd injure himself, so we left it and kept our puppy out of the kitchen. i told mum when she arrived home from work and it all got hoovered up.
Glad to see you're okay.

I have had a  number of things happen to me in the kitchen.
Some are minor like when a spice bottle cover drops and rolls away and you cannot find it.  Some I have never found.
The worst one happened a couple weeks ago when our daughter Debbie came back home to stay.  I was moving some things and I had two of those glass trays that come inside the microwave.  I had them from past microwaves or they had been given to me.
Well, I bumped the box they were in and bam!  Off the counter they went and into a million pieces on the floor.  I didn't have someone who could see around who could help.  I think i got it pretty well but some little pieces of glass cut my hand and foot and I was bleeding.
George told me abougt the blood but it got on the floor as I  walked around and I had to warn people when they came into the kitchen.
Believe it or not I found a piece from one of those microwave trays downstairs on the basement floor.  It flew all that way.

LOL! Sandy, we have all had our "breaks" in the kitchen, I have done that too, but one time I thought the can of peas was shut, and then my daughter said something to me, that upset me(hmm, must of not been that important, since I forgot) so I slammed the can down, and well, the can was opened enough to where all the water and peas went flying, and well, you can imagine the rest, LOL!
I had little green peas in my hair, all over the place, and in 15 minutes, the social services for my in home support aide was comeing to see how "organized I really was"
now, that was a sight to see, well, both my daughter and her friend who had spent the night helped me clean it all up just in time, and all I can remember is that I had to say yes to whatever she had asked me.... I think it was something to do with a late night dance at school,
ar'r'r'r'r'r'r'r'r'r' that was a cr'r'r'r'r'r'r'azy day.
smiles,
Syl

I agree with that one! Or if each of you decides to prepare something, you get on one side of the kitchen, and Del on the other side to keep out of each other's way! Did I tell you about how one time, I had this icky, sticky kitchen mishap? I first of all need to say I am not! a morning1! person! My kids were small, I got up to fix them scrambled eggs and toast for their breakfast, put the eggs into my bathrobe pocket, and in rushing around, accidentally ran into the side of the kitchen table, and smash, there went the eggs, and I had egg running down my leg, all over my robe, yuk! I was livid!

Hi Steve,

Congrats on winning that award; you really must be a terrific cook. When you and Del marry, your house sure will smell good, with both of you so good at cooking. again, congratulations.
