Tim McGraw's new music video, "Last Dollar," will be the first video CMT plays in 2007 when it airs Jan. 1 at 6 a.m. ET. The television premiere will follow the online premiere at CMT.com at 12:01 a.m. ET. "Last Dollar" is the first single from McGraw's new album set for release in early 2007. The music video features behind-the-scenes and other footage shot during McGraw's recent Soul 2 Soul II tour with wife Faith Hill. The video also contains special effects and stylized frames to add an artistic touch to the standard behind-the-scenes segments. California Road Renamed Merle Haggard Drive Wed. December 20.2006 5:51 PM EST Merle Haggard will be honored with a street named in his honor in Oildale, Calif., a small town north of Bakersfield, where he spent his childhood years. A two-mile stretch of the road will be renamed Merle Haggard Drive. Officials of Oildale and Bakersfield reportedly had a rivalry over which town would name a street after the Country Music Hall of Fame member. Fans will raise money to help fund the estimated $41,500 it will take to change the street signs. Kenny Chesney Orders "Beer" as Next Single Wed. December 20.2006 5:51 PM EST Kenny Chesney's next single will be "Beer in Mexico," a song he wrote at the swimming pool while in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while attending Sammy Hagar's birthday celebration. Recalling that most of the crowd had gone fishing, Chesney said, "I just decided to stay behind. I didn't even know why until suddenly this song started coming to me." BNA Records will officially start seeking airplay on Jan. 8. It's the latest single from Chesney's The Road and the Radio album.
