VizCane: Prize cane lights up people's lives AN innovative aid for blind and partially sighted people developed by a Widdington company has won a European award. VizCane is an illuminated folding cane which enables its users to be more visible to other pedestrians and drivers. It was developed by Somerwood, of Priors Hall, Widdington, a company that specialises in walking aids. Essex MEP Richard Howitt presented Leah and Graham Hunter, of Somerwood, with the Best Success Story award from the European Relay Centre Innovation Network.
