Raisin Bran Bread
1 Egg, well beaten
1/2 c Raisins
1 c Bran
1/4 c Molasses
2 c White flour
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
1 c Sour milk
3 ts Baking powder
2 tb Melted shortening
Combine molasses, shortening, sugar, bran, raisins, egg, and milk. Sift
flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Combine
with the first mixture. Beat well. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bake in
moderate oven (375ΓΈ F) 1 hour. 1 loaf.
